This film condenses the entire dialogue of the Clarence Thomas Supreme Court confirmation hearings down to 12 minutes or one 400-foot roll of 16mm film. Dramatic diatribes from Senator Orrin Hatch and Senator Joseph Biden among others are spliced against the testimony from Clarence Thomas and Anita Hill, who brought charges of sexual harassment against the nominee. The visual image engages the viewer without edits, in a complete stare, enacted by Julia Smith. (1994)
